Carlow University operates on a rolling admissions system, which means that a decision relative to acceptance is made shortly after the application is completed. The items needed for an application to be considered complete are listed below:
For Adult Transfer Students
- Submit a completed application form by either applying online for free by clicking the link below, or submitting a formal application for admission, along with a non-refundable $20.00 application fee. Send either a check or money order made payable to Carlow University to the Admissions Office, Carlow University, 3333 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213;
- Submit an official copy of all college transcripts.
- Submit course descriptions or catalogs from all previous colleges outside Allegheny County.
- Submit a personal essay describing your goals may be included, and, in some instances, required.

* The transcript is considered official if it contains the seal of the institution and is issued directly to Carlow University. Transcripts delivered to students are considered official only when sealed in an envelope with the institution's seal over the flap. Faxed transcripts are not considered official. Official GED test scores may be accepted in lieu of high school transcripts.
