Undergraduate Admissions | Graduate Admissions

We welcome your interest and encourage you to apply for admission to one of our programs. Applications may be submitted using the official application form or online. Although admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis, you are encouraged to apply promptly as our class sizes are limited.

Undergraduate Admissions

In addition to the application, UNDERGRADUATE candidates are required to submit the following:

• Official transcripts from all previous institutions attended.
  Note: High school transcripts are not required for those who graduated more than three years prior to enrollment at Carlow unless requested.
• Course descriptions are required from each institution attended outside of Westmoreland and Allegheny counties in Pennsylvania.
• An essay or personal statement outlining your goals and reasons for applying to Carlow may also be included or in some instances required.
• An application fee of $20 is necessary to process your application.
  Note: This fee is waived for our online applicants.
• RN to BSN applicants must submit a current copy of the RN license or a copy of both the front and back of the signed wallet card.

Graduate Admissions

In addition to the application, GRADUATE candidates are required to submit the following:

• Official transcripts from all previous institutions attended including any
  institutions where graduate courses were completed.
• Statement of professional goals—a personal essay of approximately 300 words, typed and double-spaced, discussing short- and long-term goals, reasons for seeking graduate study in the specialty selected, and the strengths and skill which you both bring to the program and hope to develop.
• Copy of your current resume or curriculum vitae
• Two professional recommendations
• An application fee of $35 is necessary to process your application.
  Note: This fee is waived for our online applicants.
• Graduate nursing applicants must also provide proof of an accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, a copy of your current Pennsylvania RN license, and proof of current liability insurance at $1,000,000/$3,000,000.
